About us

Welcome to Gateviral

Laundry is the chore nobody teaches you. One day you’re leaving home with a suitcase full of clean clothes your mom washed, and the next you’re standing in front of a machine with 14 settings, holding a sweater that says “hand wash cold” and wondering how bad it could really be.

(Spoiler: pretty bad. That sweater now fits a teddy bear.)

Gateviral exists to answer all the laundry and clothing care questions you were too embarrassed to ask — and the ones you didn’t even know you should be asking. How much detergent do you actually need? Can you machine-wash that? Why do your towels smell weird even after washing? What do you do about a coffee stain when you’re already late for work?

What you’ll find here

We keep things practical and tested. Every guide is written for real life — small apartments with no laundry room, busy weeks with one free hour, and budgets that don’t include dry cleaning every month. You’ll find:

  • Washing & Drying — how to get everyday laundry right, from water temperatures to drying clothes indoors without the musty smell.
  • Stain Removal — step-by-step fixes for coffee, wine, grease, ink, sweat and everything else life throws at your clothes.
  • Fabric & Garment Care — how to care for wool, silk, denim and delicates so your favorite pieces last for years, not seasons.
  • Small Laundry Spaces — setups, routines and equipment for apartments, laundromat trips and homes without a washer.
  • Clothing Storage & Organization — folding, storing and organizing your clothes so they stay fresh and easy to find.

Who’s behind Gateviral

Gateviral is written by Felipe Amaral, based in Denver, Colorado. Felipe learned clothing care the hard way — through years of apartment living, shared laundry rooms, shrunken sweaters and one unforgettable red-sock-in-the-whites incident. He writes the guides he wishes he’d had back then: clear, specific and honest about what actually works.

Our promise is simple: no fluff, no jargon, and no advice we wouldn’t follow ourselves. Just clothes that last longer, look better and cost you less.
